Smokon! was created under the leadership of Laurent van Hamme, founder and managing director. Smokon! is focused on innovative projects combining Internet and other industries such as Tourism.

Laurent van Hamme led various missions in France and abroad, mainly in marketing and business development for the telecom and high-tech industries.

With Cegetel (SFR group) , as marketing vice president, he launched the DSL services for the consumer market as well as developped the whole internet activities. He started the company e-commerce, reaching more than 35% of total sales within a few months.

In 5 months , he also managed to create the Cegetel customer web portal, reaching near 2 million unique visitors per month.

In addition, he was in charge of the CRM and anti-churn programs with an installed base in excess of 2 million customers as well as conducted some strategic mergers.

For Orange Business Services (Equant), he led different missions on a worldwide scale, starting in 1994. In particular, he was at the inception of the France Telecom international development, then working with Sprint as well as Deutsche Telekom.

In 1998, he was asigned Equant Vice President, Pricing, until 2003.

Laurent Van Hamme worked in Santa Clara, California, with Calera Recognition Systems (OCR) export department, and was also marketing manager at IER, a manufacturer of terminals and printing workstations for the airport and airline industry.

He is graduated from the university of Lille, hold diploma in business administration from the IAE and executive programs at INSEAD.

He is also pilot (PPL), flight instructor (FI-A) and loves flying !

 

Philippe Colin. Co-founder and associate. He worked for KPMG Peat Marwick, then CSC, in 1999, as Vice President for IT and internet portals.

His scope of activities includes audit, specifications, architecture and development of internet, intranet and extranet web portals.

Philippe is a recognized expert in strategic management and change management of large projects.

He brings second to none know-how to Smokon! as well as a long experience in business development.
